Karen's Story

There aren't words to describe what you have done for me. I called you with minimal information on my birthmother and just a first name of my birthfather and you were able to locate both of them. It only took you a week and I have been searching my whole life. I'm surprised that you could even understand me I was crying so much. You were calm and understanding and you could relate because you were a birthmother yourself. I don't think it is possible for someone to understand if they have not had it happen to them.

I am now in contact with my birthmother with plans for her to visit in May. Then in August, I will make a trip to meet my family. I can't believe that I have blood relatives. All my life I have wondered who I look like? No one that I knew, the only blood relatives that I had were my two kids. I had no genealogy or family tree it was just a void. But now I have pictures of my parents when they were young, my mother and her family today. As well as grandparents and uncles and cousins that are all related to ME! Wow, it is still too much to believe. It hardly seems real, I have a sister!!!! Cool! I always wanted to have a sister and now I know her name!
